Bio

Kennemore, Doris Jordan On February 2, 2011, after impatiently waiting nine years, Mom left us to join her precious Thomas in their worship of the Lord. Doris Jordan Kennemore was born December 11, 1920, in Mabank, TX, to Amos Bookager Jordan and Minnie Lee Hall Jordan and graduated from Mabank High School. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Heath and a lively member of the Wild Bunch Sunday School Class. Doris had a true servant's heart and ministered to others through the church's kitchen committee. She worked for Texas Instruments in an acid lab for 13 years, and sold Avon as a means of reaching people for the Lord. Doris & Thomas enjoyed traveling with the Good Sam's group, and in her later years, she discovered an interest in oil painting. An incredible wife and loving mom, Doris was most importantly known as "Granny" and never missed Mike and Steve's ball games. She was honored to be their grandmother. Doris is survived by her daughter: Linda Aultman; grandsons: Mike Aultman & wife Grace and Steve Aultman & wife April; great grandchildren: Felicia, Darla, Alex, Courtney, Clayton, Caleb and Cooper; great-great grandchildren: Joel and Maddox; brother: Kenneth Jordan & wife Maxine; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband of 35 years: Thomas; son: Larry; great grandson: Jeremy; four brothers: Roland & wife Beulah, Murlin, Rex & wife Ruby and Max; and sister: Vida & husband Norvil Jones. Funeral services will be held 1:30pm, Saturday, February 5, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Heath with Chaplain Dan Ashley officiating. A private family interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Haven, 3620 Sunset Lane, Arlington, TX, 76016.
