Thanks to contributor #48796369 Pauline Waldmann, 79, of Ord died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at Valley County Hospital in Ord. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord with the Rev. Jim Warner officiating. Burial will be in Ord Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Ord Memorial Chapel with a rosary and Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Waldmann was born on Oct. 16, 1919, at Brass Ranch in Custer County near Comstock to Harold and Gladys (Jackson) Florida. She attended school at District 29 and graduated from Comstock High School in 1937. She worked in Elgin, Ill., for a year before returning to Nebraska. She worked at City Pharmacy in Comstock. She married Raymond Waldmann on Dec. 30, 1939, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Geranium. They lived on a farm west of Ord for 58 years until they moved to Ord in September 1997. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Churches. She was president of the Greeley DCCS deanery, founder of the TOB 4-H Club, which she led for 10 years, and was a member of a local extension club. She developed an egg delivery business in the Comstock area, which she operated for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, working crossword puzzles, baking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Raymond of Ord; two sons, Alan of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Ray Waldmann of Comstock; two daughters, Paula (Mrs. Kim) Musil of Ord and Cecila Waldmann of Osceola; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Velma Chalupsky of Edna, Texas, and Shirley Uphoff of Madison, Wis. She was preceded in death by an infant grandchild. The Grand Island Independent, Jan. 4, 1999
