Raymond F. Waldmann, 95, of Ord died on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Valley View Living Center in Ord. Raymond was born on May 4, 1916, on the family farm in Geranium Township of Valley County to Joseph and Katherine (Krikac) Waldmann. Raymond married Pauline Florida on Dec. 30, 1939, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Geranium Township. Mrs. Waldmann died on Jan. 1, 1999. Raymond was raised on the farm, attended District 73 rural school and Geranium High School and graduated from Comstock High School in 1934. Raymond and his wife made their home on a farm west of Ord for 58 years. In September 1997, they moved into Ord. After Pauline's death, Raymond continued to make his home in Ord and became a resident at the Valley View Living Center in 2007. Raymond was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus for more than 75 years. While on the farm, he served on the board and as a lineman for the rural telephone line. His hobbies included farming and hunting. He especially enjoyed visiting and spending time with family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by: parents; infant grandchild; brothers, William, Edward, Lawrence, John, Thomas and Paul Waldmann; and sisters, Frances Kamarad, Mary John, Alice Waldmann and Mildred Pesek. Survivors are: sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Sondra of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Pat and Kathy of Comstock; daughters and son-in-law, Paula and Kim Musil of Ord and Cecile Waldmann of Osceola; grandchildren, Rebecca and Joe Waldmann, Scott Musil and his wife, Cassie, Mark Musil and Kimberly Flessner and her husband, Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Sarah and Thomas Musil and Zachary, Alex and Kaitlyn Flessner Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery, Ord, NE.
