There are also living two half-brothers, one half-sister, twenty grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams, from earliest childhood was reared in a Christian home and carried out the ideal in her own home of which the children are proud witnesses today. About 26 years ago she joined the United Brethren church with her husband and both were faithful members of the Prairie Gem up to 1914 when Mr. Williams died. In 1918 Mrs. Williams transferred her membership to the Aurora church. Her sickness for a number of years prevented a regular attendance but whether at home or in the church she ever rejoiced in the conscious fellowship and sweet communion of her Heavenly Father. She was a patient sufferer during her last sickness and although everything was done that love and skillful, tender nursing could do, she passed away in a quiet sleep Wednesday morning. But only a sleep, for she awoke in heaven to greet the husband who has gone on before and the daughter who was waiting for her. Her faith in Christ was expressed in her favorite song, "Rock of Ages" which was sung by a quartet at the funeral service held in the United Brethren church of Aurora, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of the pastor, Rev. H. H. Heberly. He used the test, "Father into Thy Hands I Commend My Spirit," and the quartet sung three selections of music. The flowers were beautiful. Interment was in the Aurora cemetery. The pastor closed his funeral sermon with the words: It's just going West to a glorious rest, As the setting sun when the day is done, In a glory of red sinks low in the west, Never suggesting a thought of the dead, But rather of rising again in the morn. A sun reborn. Going West isn't dying. It's just going West to a glorious rest." ------------- Card of Thanks We desire to express our heartfelt thanks to all friends who were so kind and sympathetic to us in our bereavement.
