Rachel was the first wife of Robert Seth Terry, and died at the age of 20, of puerperal septicaemia after giving birth to daughter Clara Estelle. Rachel became the peculiar muse of author and subsequent multiple murderer Chad Daybell, LDS writer of a novel Paving the Way to Paradise, who claimed her spirit visited his wife's grandmother Lucille and wanted to be baptised, endowed and sealed into the LDS church by her family so as not to be forgotten by them and gain access to Paradise.
