Bio

Herald Coaster, December 31, 1992: Funeral services for Robert S. Janik, 81, of Rosenberg, were held 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Eric Pitre officiating. Rosary was at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the Garmany & Carden Chapel in Rosenberg. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rosenberg. Mr. Janik died Sunday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 5, 1911 in East Bernard and was a member of Sacred Heart. Survivors include his wife, Edna Janik of Rosenberg; four sons, Robert Janik Jr. of Santa Fe, Gilbert Janik of New Baden, Norbert Janik of Dickinson, and Delbert Ray Janik of Fulshear; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kramr of Santa Fe; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Janik of Lake Jackson; one sister, Marie Grigar of Wallis; three stepchildren, Margie Hollier of Indonesia, Ervin Straznicky of Memphis, Tenn., and Glenda Tracy of Pecan Grove; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
