Cooper 61 of Cyress, California, died Thursday May 12 in the Anaheim General Hospital Services were held Tuesday May 17 in the Murray Church of Christ with the Reverends Randy Allison and John Spradlin officating at the 1:30 p.m. rites. Interment was in the Field Cemetery in Truro with arrangements made by Watts Lindsay Funeral Home in Murray. Elsie M. Cooper was born July 5, 1901 in Clarke County Iowa to James H. Carter and Grace Camp Carter. She married Oda Cooper February 21, 1921 and worked as a homemaker. One son and three daughters were born to this union. She lived in Murray and Des Moines before moving to California in 1959. Survivors include son Ronald Cooper of Arroyo Grande, California, daughter Mrs. Christine Hamilton of Arroyo Grande, California. daughter Mrs Glenna Lewis of Bellflower, California, nine grandchildren five great grandchildren, four brothers, Harold L. Carter, Winterset, Harvey Carter, Creston Ira J. Carter, Springhill and Laurel L. Carter, Ft. Smith, Arkansas, two sisters Mrs Annis Jones of Murray and Opal Browns of Murray.
