The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, Iowa November 19, 1931, Page 2 PRAIRIE GROVE. Odda C. Cooper, son of John and Retta Cooper, was born July 7, 1890 and died November 6 1931, at his home near Prairie Grove. He was born in Clarke county, spending almost his entire life in this county. He was married to Marie Carter in February 1922. To this union was born four children. He leaves to mourn his departure a loving wife and three small children, a mother and one brother, many other relatives and a host of friends. Odda Cooper was a man of noble character, kind hearted and a staunch friend of everyone to whom he felt was doing right, and many can recount with gratitude the favors he bestowed. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at his home, conducted by Rev. Randell, pastor of the Christian church in Truro. He was laid to rest in Fields cemetery near Prairie Grove. This community sympathizes with his folks in the loss of a good and loving husband and father from their household, and realize that it will be many a day before the grief of his departure will be lessened. Cooper from a bruise on the knee received while shucking corn that terminated into blood poisoning. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home with the Rev. Randels officiating.
