Bio
Herman Morris Ott, the son of Henry and Katie (Pankratz) Ott, was born at Henderson, Nebraska, on September 30, 1931, and died at Marianna, Florida, on October 18, 1998, at the age of 67 years, and 18 days. He grew up and received his education at Henderson and Aurora. He resided in Giltner, and later moved to Colorado, where he was employed by molybdenum mining companies at Climax, Colorado. He retired to Florida in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, one sister and an infant son. Survivors include 5 sons, Richard Ott of Manchester, Connecticut, Allen Ott of Brigham, Utah, James Ott of Virginia City, Virginia, Herb Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jerry Johnson of Compass Lake, Florida; 3 daughters, Debra Wamsley of Mason, Ohio, Pamela Henney of Houston, Texas, and LaWanda Scott of Marianna, Florida; 2 brothers, Wilbur Ott of Giltner, and Freeman Ott of Trumbull; 2 sisters, Erma Claire of Los Angeles, California, and Frieda Dunlap of Blountstown, Florida; numerous grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.
