Joseph Severin Jensen 1905 - 1972 Joseph Severin Jensen, 67, of 359 W. 500 S., Provo, died Wednesday morning at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo after a long illness. He was born *Sept. 20, 1905 in Spanish Fork, a son of Joseph Andrew and Mary Katherine Jensen Jensen. He married Florence Elaine McCandless on Feb. 13, 1932 in Provo. Mr. Jensen received his education in Provo City schools. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in [sic] then Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co. for 38 years, from which he retired in 1967 as a construction foreman. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Survivors include his widow, Provo; two sons and one daughter, Joseph A. Jensen, Provo; Deanm [sic] C. Jensen, Murray; Mrs. Eldon K. (Mary Lou) Zierold, Orem; five grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters, Charles A. Jensen, Thomas E. Jensen, Mrs. Erma Robertson, Mrs. Ida Madsen and Mrs. Elvira Bailey, all of Provo, and Robert P. Jensen and Mrs. Anna Gray, both of American Fork.
