Janie Ruth Cummings Marshall News Messenger Saturday, August 31, 2013 MARSHALL — Janie Ruth Jackson Cummings, 83, was born June 1, 1930, in Harleton, Texas, to John Henry Jackson and Hattie Jane Jackson. Janie Cummings married Dolphus Adlee Cummings on November 17, 1945. She went to meet her savior August 29, 2013. Janie Cummings was known to her family and loved ones as Granny. Granny was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy for 68 years. Granny was preceded in death by her husband, Dolphus Adlee Cummings; three sisters; and two brothers. Granny is survived by her three sisters, Dena Clark, Mozelle Sharp and Emma and her husband, James Sykes; two children, Ruthie and her husband, Joe Cameron and Charles and his wife, Joan Cummings; three grandchildren, Charlie "Muffy" and his wife, Amy Jo Cummings, Jennifer "Dumpling" and her husband, Tony Crowston and Matthew "Too Britches" Cummings; six great-grandchildren, Makayla Cummings, Hannah Cummings, Cody Cummings, Emily Cummings, Hayleigh Crowston and Peyton "Man" Cummings; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. today, August 31, 2013, at Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas, conducted by Wesley Vandever of Sugar Hill, Texas, and her pastor, Gregg Taylor of Marshall, Texas. Interment will be in Piney Cemetery in Harleton, Texas. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cummings, Charlie Cummings, Tony Crowston, Cody Cummings, Henry Jackson, Frank Jackson, Kelly Derr and Jackie Monroe. Alternate pallbearers will be Kenneth Oney and Joe Craver. Honorary pallbearers will be her six great-grandchildren. We love you Granny.....Go find Papa
