GRACIE MAE JACKSON ONEY October 5, 1937 - July 16, 2013 Downs Funeral Home Graveside services for Gracie Mae Jackson Oney, 75, of Harleton, TX will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 19, 2013 at Piney Cemetery, Harleton, TX with Bro. Craig Evers and Bro. James Sykes officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Oney passed away July 16, 2013 in Longview, TX. Gracie Mae Oney was born October 5, 1937 in Harleton, TX to Johnny and Hattie Smith Jackson. Mrs. Oney was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and had worked for Blue Buckle for 4 years, and Monarch Ceramic Tile Plant for 9 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Mrs. Oney enjoyed sports, especially going to great grandsons' baseball games. She loved gardening and flowers. Mrs. Oney married Everett Oney and they were blessed with two children. Gracie and Everett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary April 13, 2013. Mrs. Oney is survived by her husband, Everett Oney; son, Kenneth Oney and wife Sheryl; daughter, Patricia Arden and husband John, all of Harleton, TX; grandchildren, Heather Shirts, Joseph Arden, Keasha Knopp and Holly Luther; great grandchildren, Hunter and Gage Shirts, Trace and Lucien Knopp, Keegan Arden and Warren Stagner; brother, Johnny Jackson of Harleton, TX; sisters, Janie Cummings of Marshall, TX, Emma Sykes of Jefferson, TX, Dena Louise Clark of Harleton, and Mozelle of Springtown, TX. Mrs. Oney was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew Jackson; sister, Eulene Monroe; and grandchild, Russell Oney.
