E. Lawrence Morrison, 88, of Sullivan passed away 11:17 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Masonic services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Funeral services will follow. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association or Sullivan Ambulance Service. Lawrence was born December 22, 1917 in Dalton City, the son of Ross J. and Alice (Galloway) Morrison. Lawrence married Dorothy Louise Perrine January 29, 1938 in Gays. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1992. He married Lillian I. Carroll July 10, 1993 in Sullivan and she survives. Lawrence was a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Sullivan for over fifty years, Crystal Chapter # 39 Order of the Eastern Star, Sullivan and Past Patron, George A. Sentel Masonic Lodge # 764, Sullivan, Eagles Club and Moose Club of Mattoon. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lillian; daughters, Nancy Robbins of Sullivan, Jean Gregory of Mattoon and Sharon Lowry of Decatur; step-sons, Mike Carroll of Bethany and James Carroll of Franklin, Indiana; sisters, Virginia Rose of Windsor and Betty Marlow of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.
