Bio

Funeral services for Gustav A. Dostal, 70, were Dec. 20 at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Patten officiating. Interment was in the Bohemian National Cemetery under the direction of the Kotrba Funeral Home. Mr. Dostal was born April 12, 1901 at Brnu, Czechoslovakia to Mr. and Mrs. Matej Dostal and died Dec. 16 at the Burke hospital. He was a member of the school board and was a township supervisor. On April 10, 1924 he married Olga Lopour. Survivors include his widow; one son, Deward, Burke; one brother, Emil, Cunningham, Kan., and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, one brother and three sister. Daily Republic Newspaper, Mitchell, SD- 12/28/1971
