Imelda M. "Millie" Melcher Wilson, 81 years, of Fremont, NE, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE. Millie was born June 3, 1932 in Cornlea, NE to Ben and Anna (Babl) Preister. She grew up in Humphrey, NE and attended grade school at Cornlea and high school at Humphrey. They farmed at Lindsay from 1956-1965 when they moved to Fremont. She worked at the former TG & Y Store in the Fremont Mall for 11 years then began working at Schweser's Department Store. Millie married Dennis J. Melcher April 27, 1954 at Cornlea, NE. Dennis died December 24, 2000. She married Frank Wilson May 1, 2010 and he died May 19, 2013. . She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and St Patrick's Women. She was active in the Right to Life Program and Low Income Ministry. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Tony Cruz of Lincoln, NE and Mary Beth and Marvin Renter of Norfolk, NE; son-in-law, Jeff Olerich of Verdigree, NE; brother Jim and his wife Millie of Newman Grove, NE and Dick and his wife Gerry of Lindsay, NE; sisters, Angela Sand of Columbus, NE, Helen and her husband Earl Wegener, of Columbus, NE, JoAnn Rossell of Omaha, NE, sister Bernice Preister, OSF of Colorado Springs, CO and Bernette Hamling of Beaver Crossing, NE; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: parents; 2 husbands, Dennis and Frank; daughter, Peggy Olerich; brothers, Art, Alvin & Leon Preister; brothers-in-law, Gordon Rossell and Eddie Hamling Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father Dave belt will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00-8 P.M. Tuesday with a Vigil service and Rosary led by The Catholic Daughters at 7:00 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Fremont. Memorials may be directed to Bergan Elementary School, or Alzheimer's research .
