Bio

Everett quietly passed away at the La Mesa Rehab Center in Yuma, AZ on November 27, 2004 at the age of 72. Everett was born in Ennis, TX April 5, 1932, the first son born to Lora Mae and Everett "Joe" Burns. Everett joined the U.S. Navy in 1948, he retired after 22 years of service. In his retirement he was an avid reader, he would ride his bicycle to the local library for a basket of books. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and cooking. Everett was preceded in death by his father, Everett "Joe" Burns; brothers, John William Burns, Jesse Earl Burns and Jack Stone. Everett was survived by his mother, Lora M. Stone; daughter Kandace Burns; sisters Linda Givens and Janis Kirwan. His ashes were to be spread along a river near Yuma where he frequently went fishing. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
