She is listed in the obituary of her husband George Rains as being buried in this cemetery. Birth and death years are best guess. All available information was taken into account when determining these dates. Vandals have destroyed many of the headstones. Most of the pieces are so small that they can not be read at all. The pieces of the destroyed headstones were collected and dumped into an area at the back of the cemetery. Hers could not be found. The family name was originally Lentz, but her parents changed it to Lents in order to collect benefits for the death of their son Isaac during the civil war. Somehow his name in the military records had an "S" instead of a "Z" on the end of it. This has been verified with many of their descendants. Elizabeth and George Rains were married 2 April, 1845 in Monroe County, Indiana. 10 children were known to be born to this union.
