Daryl L. Haegert GARNETT - Daryl L. Haegert, 68, Garnett, died Sept. 17, 2003. Mr. Haegert was born Nov. 7, 1934, in Esbon. He was a teacher, principal and superintendent at various schools in Kansas from 1957 until retiring in 1992. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne; two sons, Dirk of Emporia and Darin of Torrance, Calif.; a daughter, Jo Haegert Green of Roeland Park; a brother, Daniel Haegert of Esbon; and three grandchildren. The funeral was at First United Methodist Church in Garnett. Burial was in Sweet Home Cemetery, Lebanon, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
