Daughter of Andrew S. Kifer and Mary Estella Harriger Kifer, wife of C. Edwin Shaffer ................................... According to her death certificate, Ella was born April 3, 1877 in Pa. a daughter of Andrew S. Kifer and Mary Harriger, Pa natives. She was married to Charles Edwin Shaffer and was an invalid at the time of her death. She died on Feb. 2, 1935 at Hallton, Elk Co., Pa. from diabetes and lobar pneumonia. She was buried in the Scotch Hill Cemetery, Clarion Co. on Feb. 5, 1935. Her husband was the informant for the death certificate. Source: Pa Dept. of Health, Certificate of Death, 1935. Pa File No. 16034 -------------------- "The funeral for Mrs. Ed Shaffer, of Hallton, who died on Feb. 2, 1935, was held at the residence in Hallton, Feb. 5th, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. R. S. Naylor, Conneautville, her former pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the Scotch Hill cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Leroy, of Ridgway; Clifford of Hallton; Mrs. Wm. Johnson of Kane; Miss Clara Shaffer, Ridgway; Zelda and Edna, of East Hickory. The following out of town people attended: Mr. and Mrs. R. T.
