ORD — Evelyn Paprocki, 75, of Ord died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The Revs. Josh Brown and Mark Maresh will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery at Elyria. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Ord Memorial Chapel. Evelyn was born April 7, 1938, at home in Elyria, to James and Katherine (Kusek) Iwanski. She was raised on the family farm outside of Elyria, attended grade school at Elyria and graduated from Ord High School in 1956. After residing in San Jose, Calif., for a couple of years she returned to Elyria. On July 15, 1961, Evelyn was united in marriage to John Paprocki. The couple made their home on John's family farm. Evelyn worked in the laundry department at the Valley County Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and playing bingo and pickle cards. She was a fan of Nebraska football and the San Francisco Giants. Survivors include a sister, Betty Briggs of Calistoga, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John who passed away June 6, 1998; two sisters, Eleanore Rysavy and Iryne Kapustka and two brothers, Floyd and Irwin Iwanski.
