Bio

Frantisek=Frank DEATH OF FRANTISEK KREJCI Another of the early pioneers of this section passed away when Frantisek Krejci of Liberty township crossed the threshold of eternity. He passed away in Omaha, where he had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Emillie Bandhauer, June 29. The deceased was born in Zbirohu, Bohemia, September 21, 1833, and passed away at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 7 days. He was united in marriage with Barbara Krumphanzlova, who preceded him in death, may 8, 1908. In the year of 1879, he came to make his home in this country where a new world with hew ideas and new ideals was being founded and settled in Nebraska, where he lived until his death. The body was interred in the cemetery of Cesky Bratri, where a large number of his friends and old neighbors gathered to pay their last respects to a beautiful character and a truly lovable soul. The decease was in may ways a remarkable man. Though no doubt trials and tribulations beset him as they do all humanity, he was never known to complain and nothing was ever permitted to disturb the peace and tranquility of his simple life. His disposition was of the nature that all men covet, but very few attain. His life too, was a remarkable success in that, the large family which he reared grew to manhood and womanhood as exemplary men and women. There survive him, his eight children, forty two grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. His children who survive him are as follows: Emma Bandhauer, Joseph Krejci, Frank Krejci, Lizzie Kutickova, Vaclav Krejci, John Krejci, Anna Votipka, and Mary Hranac.
