Funeral June 19, 1925 Obit published June 20, 1925 San Diego Union S.B. Van Hook "Following a long illness, Mr. Sidney Barnes Van Hook passes away at his home in Nester, late Wednesday evening. Mr. Van Hook was born and raised in Kentucky and followed mining interests for many years. At the time of his death, he was 53 years, 24 days of age. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Tuttle of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Laura M. Brock of Long Beach. Mrs. Brock was with him at the time of his death. The body was removed to the Dawson Funeral Home National City.
