Charlotte 97, of Caldwell, and formerly of Marsing, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at a local assisted living center of natural causes. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Obituary for G. Charlotte Larsen G Charlotte Amos Larsen February 20, 1916 – May 31, 2013 G. Charlotte Amos Larsen, 97, of Caldwell, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at a local retirement center of natural causes. She was born in Sargent NE, grew up living in a sod house, Charlotte then moved to Idaho in 1933. She found joy in life as a farmer's wife after marrying Parley Larsen on July 15, 1934 living in Marsing, ID. Charlotte lived in Council Bluffs IA from 1972 – 1990 then returned to live again in Nampa ID. She is survived by 2 children, Darrell [Mary] Larsen of Caldwell ID and Vida [Paul] Sturgeon of Omaha NE, 7 grand children, 10 great grand children and 7 great-great grand children. Also still living are 2 sisters Alberta Allen of Portland OR and Vera Vose of Abbotsford BC. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Parley Larsen in 1969, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 grandson and her parents. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, flower arranging and was a fabulous cake decorator and seamstress. She enjoyed sharing her gifts and talents with everyone. She also made her relationship with Jesus Christ a priority in life and has left that legacy for her family and friends. Her children wish to express their gratitude to Autumn Wind Assisted Living and Heart ‘n Home Hospice for their loving care of Charlotte. A graveside celebration service will be held Friday June 7th 11:00am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. A lunch to follow at Oasis Worship Center 506B West Simplot Blvd Caldwell, ID 83605. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
