Abie, Jan. 12 - Funeral services for Mrs. James Stanislav, who died at her home in Abie at 11:30 o'clock Thursday morning, Jan. 6, after illness of 4½ months with diabetes, were held at Sts. Peter's and Paul's Catholic church, Abie, at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the pastor. Singing was by the church choir. Louis Polak, Emil Rezac, J. Pohl, Joe Maly, Emil Maly and Frank Maly were the pallbearers. Burial was in St. Peter's and Paul's cemetery at Abie. Coming from elsewhere to attend the funeral were Frank and George Stanislav from Iowa, John Maly and family from Weston, Ed Fidler from Ceresco, John Vyhlidal and Ernest Pabian from North Bend and George, Charles, Joe and John Dworak, from Holt county. Emma Wahl was Mrs. Stanislav's maiden name. She was born at Morse Bluff April 10, 1872, a daughter of John and Mary Wahl. She was married in 1894 at Abie to James Stanislav, who survives her, as do also their five children, Frank of Abie, Joe of Linwood, Mrs. James Paxel of Dwight, Mrs. Emil Rezac of Linwood and Mrs. Louis Pelak of Plasi. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. John Maly of Weston.
