Bobby Jack Proffitt, 83, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2013, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alliance Community Fellowship Church, 2185 Golden Heights Road, Fort Worth 76177. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fairy Cemetery in Fairy. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Bobby Jack was born on Jan. 10, 1930, in Hico to Raymond and Ruby Proffitt. He married the love of his life, Mozelle Fuller, on June 19, 1949. An avid gardener, Bobby Jack's flowerbeds were always full of azaleas. He was a man of strong faith and loved discussing the Bible with his family and friends. Bobby Jack was very proud of his family. He was preceded in passing by his parents; sister, Patsy Joyce; brother, Ray "Junie" Proffitt; and grandson, Jordan Renfro. Survivors: His loving wife of 64 years, Mozelle Proffitt; children, Gary and Jerri Sue Proffitt, Jana Renfro and Charles Rogers, and Cindy and Craig Schuff; grandchildren, Jacob, Erin, Joshua, Amy and Justin; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Denny Proffitt and his wife, Janis; sisters, Glenda Ann Sund, Jane Cipri and Diana Martin; and many other family members and lifelong friends.
