Son of Dan Jackson and Callie Lyday. Published in the Big Spring Daily Herald on Monday, January 6, 1958. W. T. Jackson Funeral To Be Held Tuesday William Thomas Jackson, 75, resident of Howard County for three decades, died Sunday in a hospital here after an illness of one week. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nalley-Pickle Chapel with the Rev. H. W. Gaston, pastor of the Park Methodist Church, officiating. Mr. Jackson was a member of Park Methodist. Burial will be in the City Cemetery beside the grave of his wife who died in 1952. Mr. Jackson was born in Hunt County Dec. 28, 1882, and came to Howard County in 1927. He operated a farm here until his retirement in 1946. Surviving him are two sons, Claud Jackson, Coahoma, and J. D. Jackson, Big Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Gabe Hammack, Mrs. Elmer White, and Mrs. W. L. Townsend, all of Big Spring; two brothers, John Jackson, Altus, Okla., and Lewis Jackson, Martha, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Foley, Greenville, and Mrs. Ethel Bloodworth, Olton. He also leaves five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death. Pallbearers will be J. C. Thames, Melvin Darratt, Carl Hammack, Gordon Montgomery, Jimmy Brunson, Doyle Turney, Curtis Hale and Lewis Merworth.
