Mrs. W. T. Jackson Rites Set Tuesday Mrs. Julia May Jackson, 68, died at her home at 811 W. 8th Sunday morning. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. here Tuesday with Rev. Cloy Lyles and Rev. Alsie Carleton in charge. Mrs. Jackson, a native of Hunt County, had been a member of the Methodist Church since the age of 14. Born Sept. 5, 1883, the deceased was married to Will T. Jackson Dec. 20, 1902. Her husband survives her, along with two sons, Claude and J. D., both of Big Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Robbie Townsend, Mrs. Irene Hammack and Mrs. Grace White, all of Big Spring; five grandchildren; two brothers, Reece Lacy of Celeste, Tex.; and Tom Lacy of Brownwood; and a sister, Mrs. Ella Essary of Big Spring. Pall bearers will be Jimmy Bronson, Curtis Hale, Carl Hammack, Wilford Holland, Gordon Montgomery, V. A. Merrick, Edgar Phillips and L. W. Merworth. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. The body was prepared for burial by the Nalley Funeral Home. The family will be at home at 811 W. 8th. Published in the Big Spring Daily Herald on Monday, January 21, 1952.
