Bio

I have worked hard linking family on Find A Grave. If you use this information, kindly put Find A Grave as your source. Thank You, J. Nelson (51434898) 27 Dec 1919 in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska, USA - Hazel Cook married Floyd Wilcox. They actually married in the home of one of Floyd's sisters ('Mr and Mrs Fred Olsen'). Floyd and Hazel had met ~1913 when they were both students at Kearney ( a very large Agriculture Center in Nebraska that is an extension of the University of California ) Before their marriage, Hazel had a 10-yr career as a Teacher in Butler County and Lincoln County Schools (Nebraska) as well as Spokane (Washington) Schools. ~Nov 1918 , during WWI, Hazel left her Teaching career to go to Portland, OR to provide Physical Therapy to Veterans; she was soon transferred ( ~Mar 1919 ) up to a Army Hospital in New York City, NY to further provide Physical Therapy to Veterans. Hazel died at Mt. San Antonio Gardens Medical Unit in Pomona, CA at age 82 yrs. The one mystery that remains is Hazel's middle name. In some historical pre-Marriage records, her middle initial is 'W' while others have 'M.' Some Family Researchers assert that her middle name was 'Myrtle' but no historical record has been found to-date to confirm this.
