Ray Allen Kropp, 75, of Fort Mill, S.C., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at his home surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service in celebration of Ray's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte with military honors commemorating Ray's service to our country. Ray was born in Temple, Texas, Ray was born to the late Willie and Julia Schneider Kropp. Ray graduated from Texas A & M with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to become a Colonel and pilot for the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 27 years and served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Lee Sosa; and his loving and precious grandson, Robert Allen Kropp. His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Alma "Jane"; son, Maurice Kropp and wife, Joanne, of El Paso; daughters, Karen Kropp, of Charlotte, N.C., and Pamela Wackym and husband, Nick, of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Samantha and Amanda Kropp, of El Paso, Brandon and Justin D'Eredita, of Charlotte, N.C., and Victoria and Rebecca Wackym, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many other family members and friends.
