Bio
Mary E. Bunnell, 94, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. A private graveside ceremony was held at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Mary was born in Hill County, Texas, to the late Richard C. and Elsie B. (Morgan) Bryan. She graduated from Waco High School in 1936 and received a secretarial associate degree from 4C Business College in Waco. Mary married Alton Bunnell on Jan. 13, 1939, in Waco. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church in Waco until she and Alton moved to Cedar Hill, Texas, to be near family. Mary enjoyed a life of many creative endeavors. She was an accomplished artist in oil painting and china painting and a master seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton, in 2002; and son, Bryan. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Parker and husband, Dr. Patrick Parker; granddaughter, Julie Bunnell; brother, Ralph Bryan; sister, Virginia Cashion-Marstellar; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
