Bio

Frank White, born August 5, 1843 in Rutherford County, Tennessee and was the son of Burrell Gannaway and Mary McKeough (Donnelly) White. He married March 6, 1866, Joanna Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Felix Grundy and Elizabeth (Mayfield) Miller. Five children were born to this union: Mary Elizabeth White, Felix Miller White, Katherine White, Frankie White, and Henry Kirke White. After the death of his first wife, Joanna, Frank White married Lillian Lillard daughter of Thomas Overton and Harriett Calhoun (Hill) Lillard. She was the widow of W. H. Douglass. No children were born to this union. Mr. White was a soldier in the Confederate Army. For eight years he served as assistant country court clerk; twelve years as chief clerk; and afterwards, for several years, he was the Postmaster of Murfreesboro. He died on April 17, 1918.
