Wilma Laura (Nauert) Sparkman, born February 8, 1919 in Goldthwaite, Texas (Mills County), went home to be with the Lord, May 17, 2013. She was the daughter of Otto Nauert and Maggie (Schuster) Nauert. She married S.C,. (Cecil) Sparkman, December 2, 1937 in Pottsville, Texas (Hamilton County). Their golden wedding anniversary was cut short by about six months when Daddy lost his battle with lung cancer, June 25, 1987. Mother loved the Lord and was in many ways a Proverbs 31 woman. She taught us children, by her example, to love and follow her loving Lord, to always do our best and live an honest upright life. She was a devoted member of First Baptist, Morrilton, AR. She was also a member of Lewisburg Extension Homemakers Club (Morrilton) for a number of years and dearly enjoyed her time with her fellow members. Mother was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Maggie Nauert; husband, Cecil Sparkman; their first born son, Alvin Sparkman; three sisters, Ida Griffin, Hilda Nauert and Malinda Parker; and one brother, Henry Nauert. Survivors include four children; one daughter, Sylvia Sparkman Love and husband, Troy of Jacksonville, AR; three sons, Arlie Sparkman and wife Jennie of Sheffield, TX, Autry Sparkman and wife Lisa of Morrilton, AR, Dean Sparkman and wife Teresa of Conway, AR; one God-child, Loyce (Johnson) Zille and husband, Guenter of Wilhemshaven, Germany; seven grandchildren, Rick Love of North Little Rock, Glenda Kacena of North Little Rock, Kathy Anderson and husband, Danny of Chino Hills, CA, Bill Moen and wife Cindy of Bailey, CO, Jennifer Enos and husband, Ron of Russellville, Justin Sparkman of Russellville, and Erika Sparkman of Conway; twelve great-grandchildren, Krista Woods of Ozark, MO, Jacob and Nicholas Kacena of North Little Rock, Brittney, Haley and Zach Anderson of Chino Hills, CA, Courtney and Mary Moen of Bailey, CO, Gweneth Rhodes of Conway, and Naomi, Tristan and Carlee Enos of Russellville; four great-great-grandchildren, Kane, Madison, Greta and Emma Woods of Ozark, MO; and several very special nieces and nephews, along with a loving host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be at Harris Funeral Home, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday night May 19, 2013. Funeral service will be Monday, May 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Morrilton, AR. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery located at 3144 Pleasant Grove Loop, Scotland AR (approx two miles South of Scotland, off Hwy 95).
