PARENTS: Fritz Nauert 1846 - 1912 Alwine (Alvina) Teichelmann 1851-1913 SPOUSE: Margaretha Dorathea Schuster 1883-1967 CHILDREN: (5) Ida Nauert Griffin Hilda Nauert Malinda Nauert Eilers Parker Henry "Bluie" Nauert Wilma Nauert Sparkman Otto was born at Dripping Springs in Heys County, Texas. He moved to Mills County near Priddy with his parents to farm in the Becker Mountain Community in 1899. On March 14, 1905, he was married to Margatha Dortha (Maggie) Schuster. She was born February 2, 1833 in Bavari Germany. Around 1914, Mr. and Mrs. Nauert purchased a farm and ranch in the Chapel Hill Community The family consisted of five children. Otto and Dorthea were successful farmers and ranchers. They were honest hard-working people, who believed in making a living by the sweat of their brow. They raised angora goats, sheep and cows, along with the farm crops. Magaratha "Maggie" always had a flock of laying hens and sold eggs, along with raising turkeys to sell in the fall of the year. They were faithful members of the Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy.
