Reba Mae Ponder Funeral services for Reba Mae Ponder ,92,of Sulphur Springs were to be held at 1p.m.Tuesday ,Aug.1,in Reilly Springs Methodist Church with the Revs.John Hicks and Tom Buck officiating . Internment was to follow in Reilly Springs Cemetery with Bob Ponder , Larry Ponder , Clyde Haygood ,Ronny Haygood , Frank Starrett ,Jackie Watkins ,and Bodie Watkins serving as pallbearers . Mrs.Ponder died at 2:50 a.m.Sunday July 30,in Carriage House Manor . She was born May 16,1908 ,in Reilly Springs ,the daughter of John W. and Annie Lou Bertram Stunkard. She married Duval Ponder on Nov.8,1929,in Mount Vernon .He preceded her in death in 1981 . Mrs.Ponder was a homemaker .She was a lifetime member of Reilly Springs Methodist Church . Survivors include two daughters ,Bobbie Sue Durr and Ann Minyard ,both of Sulphur Springs ;one son ,J.D.Ponder of Sulphur Springs ;nine grandchildren,Mike Durr,Becky Pawley,David Nichols ,Andrea Reeves , Rick Minyard ,Suzi Rodgers ,Johnna Crum,Ernest Ponder,and Lee Ann Ponder ;21 great- grandchildren ;and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter ,Francis Gusmus;one brother James Stunkard ;and one sister Ovida Woodson . Sulphur Springs News Paper
