Katherine J Hanna was born January 9,1893 to Mai L(in some records listed as Mayes)and Mary E White Baker in Delta County Texas.She was called Katye and in some records is listed as simply,Kate.She was the third of six children. Her paternal grandmother,Jane L.Baker( FINDAGRAVE#324986840)is the paternal great grand mother of my father,Jasper Haywood Dever.They were born in the same area of Delta County Texas about 6 months apart and spent their young years living in close proximity to one another and among much kin. I was born in the same area about 47 years later very close to the same houses where she and my father were born. She married Leslie Lee Hanna in about 1909 and November 15,1921 their only child,Leslie Lee Jr. was born. They moved to Nolan County,Texas near Sweetwater according to the 1930 census.Mai is listed on the Texas death index as dying in 1926 in Nolan county. On the 1940 census,Kate's mother,Mary E.Baker,is listed living with them back in Delta County. Some time after this the family moved to Frisco in Collin county where she and Leslie both passed away.Leslie Lee Jr passed away in December of 1977 and is buried in Allen,Collin County Texas.FINDAGRAVE #71455017.Johanna Dever Epperson
