Bio

Son of Robert Holbrook (1789-1850) and Mary Polly McCoy (1789-1864). James Floyd Holbrook, descended from a group of Holbrook pioneers out of Wilkes Co. N.C. late 1700's. James settled on the banks of the clinch river in what would later be called Carfax, Wise Co. VA. He got land grants and bought land. He raised a large family here, on 700acres.
