Katherine was the daughter of Friedrich Sept (1860-1937) and Magdalena Scherer (d.1918) Obituary for Katherine Sept Zulauf Goltz: family album Katherine Goltz, 84 of Torrington, died at the East Wing of Goshen County Memorial Hospital Tuesday Sept. 18, 1973 at 5:30 p.m. mrs. Goltz was born in Taravarde, Romania Oct. 22, 1888 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick William Sept. She grew to womanhood in Romania, was married to Jacob Zulauf there and the couple came to America in 1907. They settled near Isabelle, S.D. Zulauf, died in 1924 and Sept. 1 1927 she married to Christian Goltz. The family came to Torrington in 1930 and she resided here since that time except for six years spent with her son, Edwin in Halfway, Mo. Goltz preceded her in death in 1946. She was a former member of the English Lutheran Church and for many years has attended the Berean Fundamental Church in Torrington. Survivors are two sons, Jacob Zulauf of Torrington and Fred Zulauf of Adams, Ore.; five daughters, Mrs. Melvin "Pauline" Quinn of Eskridge, Kansas and Mrs. Willi "Lillian" Samsel of Waterville, Kan., Mrs. Ramona Maier of Denver, Mrs. Lorraine Clutter of Lincoln, and Mrs. Betty Moore of Perry, Okla.; two sisters who live in Romania: nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Four sons and one daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Coyler Funeral Home Friday, Sept. 21, 1973 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie B.
