Herald Coaster, August 15, 2002: Funeral services for Alphonse C. Litvik, 78, of Rosenberg will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg. Dr. Donnie Melton of First Baptist Church of Rosenberg will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. Alphonse was born Oct. 19, 1923 in East Bernard to Joe Litvik and Clara Pustejowski, and he passed away Aug. 14, 2002 at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. Alphonse is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Merl, of Rosenberg; his son, Lloyd Litvik and is wife, Debra of Rosenberg; his granddaughter, April Litvik Silva and her husband, Robert of Rosenberg; his brothers, Oscar Litvik of East Bernard and George Litvik of Neederland and his sister, Lillie Bandish of Wharton. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, (281) 341-8800.
