Herald Coaster, October 18, 2002: Funeral services for Merl Litvik, 78, of Rosenberg will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., FM 2218 at Highway 59 in Rosenberg. Merl was born May 6, 1924 in Tatum to Albert and Mary Rowena Capps. She passed away peacefully at her home in the presence of her granddaughter, April, and her husband, Robert Silva. She was a life-long Fort Bend County resident. She worked at Miller's Pharmacy for a number of years. Merl was a wonderful and kind woman who loved her family deeply. A strong Christian woman, she was also a thoughtful and caring friend. She was preceded in death by two months and two days by her caring husband of 55 years, Alphonse "Al" Litvik. She is survived by her cherished granddaughter, April Silva and her husband, Robert, of Rosenberg; and her loving son, Lloyd Litvik and his wife, Debra. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, (281) 341-8800.
