Bio

One of ten children of Calvin & Nettie (Lee) Bradt. She attended Larkspur Elementary School in Colorado and graduated from Kimball County High School in 1942. That year, Calvin, Betty and her sister Joy moved to Kimball. Initially Betty worked at the Rexall Drug Store and later with Bell Telephone Company where she worked until 1951. She was a former member of The Evangelical United Brethren Church of Bushnell (now Calvary United Methodist). After moving to Kansas City, MO she was employed by TWA. She worked at the Garvey Company at Wichita and later for the US Naval Air Station in Hutchinson, KS. In 1962 she began working for the Internal Revenue Service in Topeka and Wichita. She retired in 1983. Since 1997 she has resided at the Masonic Towers in Wichita. She is survived by brother Lee and his wife Dorothy Bradt of McCook, NE; sisters Grace Gadeken of Kimball, NE & Joy Linzy of Capistrano Beach, CA; sister-in-law Ida Bradt, Kimball, NE; many nieces & nephews.
