Merle Guy Bolin - Born April 6, 1884 in Sullivan, Moultrie County, Illinois, United States. He married Blanche Alice "Pennell" Bolin on December 20, 1908 in the home of the Pennell family in Humboldt, Illinois. Merle was a farmer and garage owner. According to the family bible, Merle left family and home on January 10, 1927 and his whereabouts where unknown. Merle Guy Bolin was the son of John Ephriam Bolin and Wilhelmina "Mina"(Schmidt) Smith from Moultrie County, Illinois area. John Ephriam Bolin passed away of a heart attack on July 4, 1921 at his home. Mina died on April 10, 1932,at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mary Parke, following a long illness from cancer. Merle and Blanche had 7 children, 2 where twins.
