Bio

Ona Hoke Shirley, 90, of Denton, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. She was born February 17, 1923 in Bradshaw, Texas to Martin Luther Hoke and Ethel June Tindle Hoke. She moved to Denton on her 14th birthday. She studied art at Texas State College for Woman, now TWU. Ona married Jack Shirley in 1942 who preceded her in death in 2002. A funeral service will be Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
