Audrey Jane Wheeler, age 86, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Wheeler was born on November 4, 1926 in Nome, Texas to the late Marguerite Neushofer Roberts and Robert Felix Roberts. She grew up in South Park of Beaumont and graduated from South Park High School. She attended and graduated from Baylor University in Waco with a BBA. While at Baylor she married her high school sweetheart, Jesse A. Wheeler, Jr. in 1946 and they attended school together. Audrey worked for the Vidor Independent School District for 19 years. Audrey and her husband then went on to own and operate several Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in the Golden Triangle area for the next twenty years. Later in 1985 she opened her CPA firm in Beaumont and retired in 2005. She was a member of Calder Baptist Church. Survivors include one son; three grandsons, three great granddaughters, one great grandson, and one sister. Burial: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.
