James Jisa, 53, of Columbus, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at david place in David City. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1565 18th Ave., Columbus. Interment will be in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Dwight. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home and continues on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at St. Bonaventure Church. James Myron Jisa was born July 3, 1959, in David City, to Albert and Geraldine (Crha) Jisa. Jim was raised in Butler County and attended Fairacres School in Columbus. He lived in Butler and Polk County with his parents until moving into what is now Northstar. Jim moved into david place in 2009. He loved Nebraska football, polka and country western music, the Dukes of Hazard, and competing in Special Olympics in his younger days. He is survived by his sister, Janet Bolton, of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Geraldine Jisa; and sister, Dolores Kobza. Memorials are suggested to Northstar or to david place.
