Bio
Ann Averett Motl, 70, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005, after a brief period of cancer related illness. She was born Feb. 18, 1935 in Coleman to Robert C. and Bryson Dial Averett. She married James D. Motl June 14, 1952. Ann is survived by her husband; three daughters, Nan and husband, Guy Hadorn Jr. and Martha Motl, both of San Angelo, and Debra and husband, Steve Lewis, of Odessa; four granddaughters, Rebecca, Rachel and Paige Lewis of Odessa, and Lisa Hadorn of San Angelo; one great-grandson, Jason Kale-Hadorn of San Angelo; one sister, Louise and husband, Raymond Steward, of Odessa; two brothers, Jack Averett and wife, Elouise, of San Antonio, and John Averett and wife, Audrey, of Statesboro, Ga.; two special nieces, Judy and husband, Mel Wideman, of Lubbock, and Karen and husband, Eric Echols, of Arizona; one special nephew, Ronnie Steward of Odessa; one sister-in-law, Billye and husband, Ted Kyle, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and one brother-in-law, W. M. “Mickey” Jones of San Angelo; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by parents; and one sister, Evelyn McClelland. Special thanks to Hospice of San Angelo for all their assistance and care: Especially Lea, registered nurse, and Michelle, RN. Private graveside services will be at Fairmount Cemetery with Bob Thayer of Odessa Bible Church officiating. The family ask that memorials be made to Hospice of San Angelo. Services are under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of San Angelo.
