Funeral services were held here Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church at 2:30 for Hugh Norton who passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home northwest of town Scripture reading and prayer was given by Rev. D. P. Smith, pastor of the Church of God here and Rev. Marvin Brotherton, pastor of the Methodist church conducted the services and spoke words of comfort. Mr. Norton was 74 years of age and he leaves to mourn his passing his wife, brother, two sisters and many friends. Pall bearers were Messrs. Lewis Jorgenson, Clovis Fleming, James Smith, Phillip Gaillard,, Arval Fleming and Frank Rader of Dalhart. Interment was made in the Texhoma Cemetery with the Dawson Mortuary in charge.
