Wife of George Henry Miller Dec. 8, 1946 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TODAY FOR MRS. GEORGE MILLER Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Miller, widow of the late George Miller, were held this afternoon at the Daly-Peterson Funeral Home. Rev. W.A. Ebertz, pastor of the First Congregational church, was in charge of the services. Mrs. Clyde Crandall and Mrs. Hugh Stimson, accompanied by Mrs. E. T. McPherson sang "When They Ring Those Golden Bells," "When Peace Like A River" and "There is Love That Is Fairer Than Day." Burial was made in Highland Home Cemetery. Palbearers were: George Corell, Charles Dalton, Frank Smutzler, August Loesch, O. Lawson and William Rath. Here from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Koon, Bismarck; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Walker and daughter Evelyn, C. A. Ward and Ben Orthimeyer, Hazelton. Mrs. Miller was born October 2, 1862 in Henry county, Illinois. She attended school there. Miss Dora C. Beers and George Henry Miller were married October 2, 1878 in Geneseo, Ill. They made their first home there then went to Iowa and and returning to Illinois came to South Dakota later. In 1905 they came to Emmons county and homesteaded near Hazelton. Mr. miller died December 8, 1913 just 33 years to the day before his widow passed away. Mrs. Miller moved to Hazelton and lived until she came to Jamestown five years ago. She made her home at the Jamestown Old Folks Home for two years and died there Sunday night. She was a member of the Hazelton Presbyterian church for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were the parents of five sons and daughters. Mr.Miller and two sons Albert and Earl and a daughter Mrs. Orson Ott,preceded their wife and mother in death. Two sons Ralph and Frank with 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren survive. ----------------------
