Herald Coaster, February 10, 2005: James J. Saha, born Aug. 23, 1907 in Frydek near Sealy, to Joseph and Josephine Saha, died Feb. 8, 2005. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, in Houston. Rite of Committal will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in Rosenberg. James retired from the grocery business in 1975. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher in Frydek. James was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church since 1945, where he was an usher and in charge of the votive candles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, and is survived by his sons, Lawrence and his wife, Bari, Mark, and Clarence; grandchildren, David and wife, Nanette, Christina and husband, Harry, Keri and Ajay; great-granddaughter, Emma; and sister, Frances Wesolick. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, 713-667-6505.
