Herald Coaster, March 25, 1997: Agnes A. Saha, 86, died on Tuesday, March 25, 1997. She was born on Oct. 6, 1910 in Holman. She was third of nine children and first of four lovely daughters of Bernard B. and Elizabeth Stavinoha. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish since 1945, served as Regent with the Catholic Daughters, and was very active in many parish organizations. Throughout her life, Mrs. Saha was devoted to her Catholic faith and proud of her Czech heritage. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James J. Saha; sons, Lawrence J. Saha, Mark M. Saha, Clarence C. Saha; grandchildren, David B. Saha, Christina L. Saha; a sister, Lillian Humpola; brothers, Freddie Stavinoha, Teddy Stavinoha, and Jodie Stavinoha; and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28, at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Farris in Bellaire. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 29, at St. Vincent de Paul, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, with the Rev. Howard Drabek as celebrant. Rite of committal will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rosenberg. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Earthman Funeral Directors in Houston, 713-659-3000.
