Obit William John “Willie” Kacal Dec 1, 1895 – Jun 18, 1974 WW I Veteran, Willie J. Kacal Buried June 19, 1974 A veteran of World War I William "Willie" John Kacal, a resident of the El Campo Area 60 years, died in Nightingale Hospital, Tuesday, June 18, 1974 at the age of 77. He was born in Brenham on Dec. 1, 1895 Funeral services under the direction of Triska Funeral Home were held in St Philip's Catholic Church last Thursday morning. Burial with military honors was in the Holy Cross Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Robert, Frank, Mike, David, and Terry Kacal and Edmund Waligura Jr. Mr. Kacal is survived by his wife Lucy Budaus Kacal of El Campo, one daughter Mrs. Edmund (Beatrice) Waligura Sr. of Wharton, three sons Willie Jr. and John both of El Campo, and Jerry of Sweeny, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Frank (Rosie) Bittner of El Campo and one brother, A. J. Kacal of El Campo.
